Communications:
Each Center will be equipped with a telephone exchange. Public phone services
will be provided with two telephone booths directly within the Center, as well
as up to several hundred wireless remote nodes at a maximum radius of 15
miles.
Initially wireless service will be CDPD-based Wireless Local Link (WLL).
Soon, however, we will transition to IP telephony, allowing voice, email, and
Web communications. Wireless nodes will be powered by solar cells or hand
cranks.
