Biography

Sputniko! is a designer/artist who creates contraptions, products, music and film exploring technology’s impact on everyday life to imagine and speculate on alternative futures. As a social media influencer, Sputniko! actively posts her works on social networks and online video platforms to encourage discussions outside the design and art spheres. Sputniko! has presented her film and installation works at exhibitions such as Talk to Me (MoMA, New York, 2011) and Bunny Smash (Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, 2013). In 2013, she was awarded VOGUE JAPAN's Woman of the Year.
