Reframe is a creative prompt tool that juxtaposes language from a designer’s notes in surprising ways to provoke new associations between concepts in their project. Inspired by field research at IDEO, it was originally developed as a card deck to help designers integrate some ‘structured serendipity’ into their design process during early concept brainstorming sessions.
Reframe specifically tries to help introduce new variables into a designer’s creative habits while also integrating language that is important to their projects: after uploading relevant text, documents and websites, users can quickly generate randomized prompts or change individual words within the prompt until they find one they prefer.
