City Science researchers are working with various stakeholders from San Francisco to develop a community engagement platform to analyze and understand current urban planning trends and opportunities. New zoning policies aim to address a current housing shortage and this platform can provide a data-enabled view of what is possible to allow for a more livable, equitable and resilient city.
The City Science team will continue to build robust planning and engagement tools that outline potential metrics and tradeoffs, sharing a more holistic view of proposed changes at the community scale. Storytelling and modeling strategies will also be implemented to add a human-centric focus.
