Team Space Enabled presents nine papers at the 2024 International Astronautical Congress in Milan, Italy during October 2024
The International Astronautical Congress is the largest, international space conference that features participation from the global space community. This year marks the 75th IAC, hosted in Milan, Italy from October 14 to 18. The conference includes symposia regarding many aspects of the space enterprise, including science, applications, policy, education and societal impacts. Team Space Enabled presents nine papers at the 2024 IAC with findings from projects that apply the EVDT Systems Engineering Framework to progress in Earth Observation and microgravity projects. With EVDT (Environment-Vulnerability-Decision-Technology), Space Enabled designs approaches to increase accessibility and sustainability with space and applications. Speakers include Dr. Scott Dorrington, Dr. Katlyn Turner, Dr. Sharif Islam, Dr. Ufuoma Ovienmhada, Yiyun Zhang and Frederick Ajisafe. Prof. Danielle Wood serves as Rapporteur for the session B4.1 called the UN/IAF Workshop on Small Satellite Programs at the Service of Developing Countries.
Dr. Sharif Islam is awarded the 2024 Emerging Space Leaders Fellowship which provides funding to participate in the IAC. In addition, Dr. Islam made a presentation at the 2024 UN/IAF Workshop on "Space Technology for Socio-Economic Benefits: Space Sustainability as a Game-Changer for Development."
