Responsive Environments PhD students Irmandy Wicaksono and Ali Shtarbanov have been honored in the 2022 Core77 Design Awards. Now in its eleventh year, the Core77 Design Awards celebrate the richness of the design profession, and offer both students and professionals the opportunity to promote their best work.
- PneuBots, a project built on Ali Shtarbanov's FlowIO platform by Hye Jun Youn of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, won the Design Education Initiative Award, which is solely a professional category, and was also recognized as a Student Notable for the Interaction Award.
- 3DKnITS, developed by Irmandy Wicaksono and Prof. Joe Paradiso with collaborators from the Media Lab, MIT, Nanyang Technological University, and Wellesley College, was a Student Runner Up for the Interaction Award and the Sports & Recreation Award.
