The 2025 MIT Independent Activities Period (IAP) begins on Monday, January 6, 2025 and ends on Friday, January 31, 2025 . Check the MIT Events Calendar for non-credit courses and activities, or the online subject listings for for-credit courses; the Registrar’s Office also has information on how to register for IAP. Note that all members of the MIT community may participate in IAP non-credit activities: faculty, students, staff, and alumni. IAP is not open to the general public or non-MIT-affiliated groups.
Below is an evolving list of IAPs hosted by members of the Media Lab community in collaboration with other departments. If you're a member of the Media Lab community and hosting an IAP activity this year, please email Amanda Diehl (adiehl@media.mit.edu) to have it added to the list!
