On May 2, 2022, Hugh Herr (head of the Biomechatronics research group) will be honored at the 10th Genius Gala, hosted by the Liberty Science Center (LSC).  

Located in Liberty State Park on the Jersey City bank of the Hudson near the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Science Center is a 300,000-square-foot learning center with a mission to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers and excite learners of all ages about the power, promise, and pure fun of science and technology. The Genius Gala, its an annual celebration of innovation, accomplishment, creativity, science, and technology, helps to support its STEM education programs, making world-class science learning more accessible to students, teachers, and families, including those in high-needs communities.
