Fellowship & Scholarship Opportunities

There are two main types of fellowships available to MAS graduate students. MIT Administered fellowships, and Direct-Apply fellowships. Please see below for more information about each type. 

MIT Administered Fellowships

The MIT administered fellowships may be administered through the Office of Graduate Education (OGE) or another MIT DLC, such as the School of Engineering or the College of Computing. These departments distribute a call for nominations, which are then forwarded to faculty and  graduate students by the MAS team. If you are nominated, please read instructions carefully. Some of these fellowships require you to submit your materials to MAS, which would then be submitted to the fellowship by the MAS team. Below is a list of MIT administered fellowships:

Direct-Apply Fellowships

Direct-apply fellowships are not administered by OGE or a department at MIT. Instead, you must apply to these fellowships directly. Please see below for a list of outside organizations that provide funding for graduate students:
