On our final day of fieldwork in Lanzarote we returned to Monte Corona and back down again to the lava tube Cueva de la Paloma, our main field site which was formed during the Timanfaya eruptions in the 18th century .
In a rush to wrap up our fieldwork, Cody collected coordinates above Cueva de la Paloma, Phil finally received permits to fly a drone, Nathan installed two of the HexSense sensor nodes, and Chucho flew his kites despite having no wind. A lesson in the unreliability of weather.
