The RISE AWARDS - Recognizing Indviduals Supporting Equity - is an opportunity to celebrate MIT faculty, staff, and students on their work with diversity, inclusion, and social justice on and off campus. MIT community members nominate their peers and colleagues for these awards. The RISE AWARDS is a collaboration sponsored by OMP, OGE, OFY, OME, and ICEO. 

The Office of Multicultural Programs at MIT recognized Dr. Canan Dagdeviren as the 2022 Faculty Ambassador at the 2022 Multicultural Awards. This award is presented to a faculty member who has shown a great commitment to enhancing the experience of undergraduate and/or graduate students at MIT that transcends the boundaries of the classroom. This faculty member has shown an enthusiasm both inside and outside of the classroom for multiculturalism and diversity.

The Multicultural Banquet is a yearly recognition ceremony that acknowledges members of the MIT community who go above and beyond in areas of diversity and inclusion.
