Joshua Smith, an alum of the Physics and Media group and an electrical engineering professor at the Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, has been named as an IEEE Fellow, in recognition of his contributions to far- and near-field wireless power, backscatter communication, and electric field sensing.
