Felix Reda

Felix Reda is a politician and an advocate for access to knowledge and culture through copyright reform. In 2014, he was elected to the European Parliament for the German Pirate Party, representing a young worldwide movement of people who believe in using technology for the empowerment of all. As draftsperson for the review of the copyright directive, he advocates for a European copyright that is adapted to the digital era, that is easy to understand and enables the free exchange of culture and knowledge across borders. He holds a master's in political science and communications science from Johannes-Gutenberg-University Mainz, Germany. His research interests span all elements of the interaction of digital technology with law and society.
