Jose Miguel Nicolas is a research fellow at the City Science group. His work focuses on developing Humanized Agent-Based Models (h-ABMs) to simulate interactions of multimodal agents with human-like characteristics in urban environments. He leverages Knowledge Graphs and data from the U.S. Census to design scalable and adaptive agent profiles, contributing to the creation of smarter and more inclusive cities.
With a strong background in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, complemented by a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence Research, his research spans Logical Reasoning, Knowledge Representation, and the hybridization of Large Language Models (LLMs) with advanced AI techniques.
José Miguel’s contributions to h-ABMs aim to redefine human-technology interactions in urban systems. His ultimate goal is to blend cutting-edge AI research with human-centered design to create cities that truly serve their inhabitants.
