I am the Senior Learning Designer for PLIX (the Public Library Innovation Exchange), where I develop creative learning communities, technologies, and experiences and more generally promote playful learning through people-centered uses of technology.
Before returning to MIT, I led initiatives related to kids, families, and schools for Maker Media and Maker Faire, and I worked with the Exploratorium and other youth- and education-focused organizations in the Bay Area. I previously researched at the Lab in the Lifelong Kindergarten group, and I also hold a Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
As someone whose very first high school job was Page (and Leticia's unofficial children's programming assistant) at the Fountain Valley Public Library, I am thrilled to be back at the Lab working with our nation's most open and egalitarian institutions.
