- Opera of the Future
Ana Schon was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has been composing, recording, engineering, and performing music for as long as she can remember. She graduated Berklee College of Music in December 2022 with a degree in Songwriting, and has long had an interest in sound for unconventional live performances. Her 2 main projects as a songwriter/performer are latin-indie-folk duo Borneo, with guitarist Mateo Monk, and a solo project of songs in English and Spanish.
As a Master’s student in the Opera of the Future group at the MIT Media Lab, she combines her experience with her interest in innovative, accessible technology to create visceral music experiences that connect people with the communities that surround them and the spaces they inhabit. She is a LEGO Papert Fellow for the 2024-2025 academic year.
