Dr. Dagdeviren will speak on "Conformal Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting and Storage from Motions of Internal Organs." Her presentation will be held on April 24, 2019, at 8:15 am at PCC Room 132 C in the Session of “Nanogenerators and Piezotronics.”
The 2019 MRS (Materials Research Society) Spring Meeting & Exhibit is the key forum to present research to an interdisciplinary and international audience. It provides a window on the future of materials science and offers an opportunity for researchers—from students and postdoctoral fellows, to Nobel and Kavli Prize Laureates—to exchange technical information and network with colleagues.
This symposium aims to advance fundamental understandings and technological development of the nanoscale mechanical energy conversion materials and systems, and the coupling between piezoelectric polarization and semiconductor behaviors and functionalities. This symposium will gather world experts to advance science and technology in these fields. Abstracts on the theoretical and experimental study of piezoelectric, ferroelectric, and dielectric nanomaterials; investigation and applications of nanogenerators for self-powered devices; and fundamental coupling between piezoelectric/ferroelectric polarization and semiconductor properties in 1D/2D nanomaterials and their applications (e.g., electronics, optoelectronics, photovoltaics, thermoelectrics, photoelectrochemistry, etc.) are particularly welcome.
