Intertextile Shanghai is Asia's leading textile event which will be held throughout August at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), Shanghai, China. It is a dynamic platform for industry professionals to source and to gain design inspirations through the conveniently structured product displays and the fringe programme.
The Living Knitwork is exhibited as a part of Nature-Tech Synergy exhibition. Nature-Tech synergies embody the fusion of technology and nature, using tech for good and eco-smart innovation. Synergy refers to cooperation between different elements creating a greater effect than their individual actions. Biotechnology and technological textiles are at the forefront. As an example, MIT's Irmandy Wicaksono made the Living Knitwork Pavilion at Burning Man using conductive textiles to distribute charges through the textiles.
