Former Research Assistant


Almaha is a second-year master student at the Collective Learning group. She is passionate about innovative Data Visualization & Data Art. Her research focuses on developing a web-based platforms that help the public to understand complex topics with the use of visualizations. She is the lead researcher developing Opus; an interactive online platform that integrates, aggregates, and visualizes scholarly data from Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic graph.

Previously, Almaha worked as a Research Specialist at the Center for Complex Engineering Systems a collaboration center between the national lab of Saudi Arabia (KACST), King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In June 2014, she graduated from the College of Computer and Information Sciences at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia with a bachelor degree in Computer Science.
