Energy Fridge
Nikos Michalakis, Jofish Kaye Refrigerators and freezers consume about a sixth of all electricity used in the American home. The refrigerator uses far more electricity that any other home appliance. We have designed and implemented a system to remotely gather information on fridge usage and temperature in the home. We intend to track data for multiple fridges in multiple living environments. By looking at these data, we hope to develop either a time-dependent or fuzzy logic algorithm so your fridge can 'predict the future' and adjust its behavior accordingly. |
